Drama and movement therapy can help you to discover a new vocabulary, new ways to verbalise what feels difficult to say; expression of oneself in a transformative and non-threatening way through creative mediums. Drama and movement therapy is offered by Giulia Dallas.
Drama and movement therapy works with the whole body. Our practitioner, Giulia, practices in a client-led way and will collaborate with you to find the safest and most comfortable way of working for you.
There is also space for talking; sessions will start with a verbal ‘check-in’ before the focus of that session is established depending on your need at that time.
Examples of creative work include drama, story work, movement, use of voice, therapeutic cards and art. Dramatherapists work with symbolism and metaphor using the creative medium as a ‘bridge’ between the real world and the imaginary world. This is very effective in ensuring clients feel safe and that difficult thoughts and feelings are explored and managed while being kept at a ‘distance.’
