Hazel is an experienced soft tissue therapist with over 14yrs of massage practice working in the South London area.
Having initially qualified in 2008 in Swedish/Holistic Massage, over the years she has increased her repertoire with a variety of modalities as listed below.
Always keen to continue learning and take her knowledge to the next level to give her clients the optimal results, Hazel has recently graduated from the Institute of Sports & Clinical/Remedial Massage in August 2022. This level 5 qualification is the highest available in soft tissue massage.
She has a passion for helping clients enjoy maximum pain-free movement and is armed with an extensive toolkit of neuromuscular, fascial and muscle energy techniques to help clients achieve their goals and accelerate healing.
As a busy parent of two children and devotee of regular massage, she is also keen to promote thewider health benefits of massage therapy, including improved mental health, relaxation and enhanced well-being, hormonal regulating, immune boosting to name just a few.
Whether you’re a recreational/professional athlete suffering from a specific Musculo-skeletal/joint issue or a desk bound professional struggling with chronic neck and shoulder pain, a remedial/sports massage uses the latest in soft tissue palpation/myofascial release with neuromuscular techniques to realign and remedy problem areas, accelerate healing and improve muscle health.
Or if you’re looking for more of a relaxing massage to switch off and unwind, a holistic, deep tissue or hot stone massage using traditional Swedish massage techniques such as effleurage and petrissage will help calm the sympathetic nervous system, flush toxins, stimulate lymph, improve microcirculation and help eliminate muscle knots and stiffness.
For a clothed massage experience, Indian Head and Natural Lift Facial Massage are two wonderfully relaxing yet focused treatments that also incorporate deeply relaxing neck and shoulder massage. Whilst pregnancy massage is offered to all mums-to-be after the first trimester and can be completely adapted around mum’s needs. Postpartum Hazel has experience of working with scar tissue to accelerate healing and tissue recovery following caesarean section.
Hazel currently enjoys working with a wide variety of clients from athletes, office workers, musicians, young adults to senior clients and clients presenting or recovering from long term illnesses such as cancer.
